YouTube to Roll Out “Live Share” for Synced Playback

It appears that Google’s video service, YouTube, is rolling out a new feature called “Live Share” to further enhance the co-watching experience on YouTube Live.

Based on our site’s own investigation, we have discovered a reference to the new “Live Share” feature within the in-app code of the Android YouTube app v20.42.33, distributed around Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
